About Us
The Minnesota I-94 West Corridor Coalition is a coalition of local governments, private businesses, local Chambers of Commerce and other stakeholders affected by the aforementioned transportation challenges that have joined together to advance to effort to expand capacity on one of Minnesota’s most important transportation corridors – “The I-94 West Corridor – Linking the Metro to Greater Minnesota.” The Coalition has joined together to organize a campaign to support a concerted effort to raise public awareness and advance the cause for much-needed increased investment in Minnesota’s and America’s aging infrastructure.
The Coalition was formed for the purpose of taking a regional approach to what is a regional problem. Inadequate infrastructure, traffic patterns, and safety issues in St. Michael, Albertville or Monticello are not contained within city limits and have a great impact on the flow and safety of traffic in Dayton, Otsego, Rogers, Hassan and Vis Versa.
We take a comprehensive approach to expanding the capacity of the corridor in a manner that will benefit all the communities and businesses along the entire corridor rather than the interests of just a few. In other words the Coalition is committed to advocating for transportation improvements which seek to increase safety, decrease congestion, and encourage economic development throughout the corridor.
Mission
The I-94 West Corridor Coalition seeks to work with residents, business leaders, and local, state, and federal policy makers to identify and rectify transportation infrastructure deficiencies along this corridor.
